Shannon Matthews Aged 9
Shannon is white, around 4ft 1in and slim, with shoulder-length, medium-brown hair, which was possibly tied up in a ponytail. She has blue eyes and freckles.
She was wearing a black school jumper with a school logo on it, a white cotton T-shirt, black trousers and a black, waist-length coat with fur round the hood. She was also wearing pink and grey "Bratz" furry boots.
Attends Westmoor Junior School Last seen on CCTV with friends entering local public baths around 3pm on Tuesday Feb 22
She had been dropped back by coach at West Moor Junior School around 3.10pm on Tuesday and set off on the ten-minute walk home through local housing estates. She normally walked home with friends, but decided to head home alone
But Friend, 8 year old Chloe said "She got off the bus with rest of us but this time went the opposite direction to home."
Kieron Dolan, 11, a friend of Shannon's brother Tony, said he saw her on Tuesday evening at the rear of the school near a track leading to the housing estate. Police spoke to him as part of the search
The swimwear and hair tie were found in a ginnel off School Lane, Not confirmed its Shannons

Step-father for 4 years, Craig Meehan, aged 22, had tickle fights with Shannon the night before she went missing. Meehan is a supermarket fishmonger.

Motives for possible runaway Brother was promised a computer for not running away Wrongly accused of stealing money from her mother
Concerns of abduction fueled by: 1) No sightings or any trace after a week 2) Attempted abduction of a 12 year old girl in nearby Wakefield 2 weeks ago. Perp on loose 3) Crucifiction of 43 year old man on Saturday about half a mile from where Shannon lived. Motive not known. Locals say say its related to Shannon; Police say they know of no connection

Firm offers £5,000 to find missing Shannon A £5,000 reward has been offered in a bid to find missing Shannon. Joseph Furniture, of Bradley, Huddersfield, has put up the cash for any information that leads to her safe return.
In a statement the firm said: "As a company that was founded in Dewsbury and a former employer of Shannon's uncle, Neil Hyett, we feel a social and moral responsibility to aid with reuniting Shannon Matthews with her family."
Meanwhile, detectives leading the search say they have received more than 500 calls from the public.They are visiting over 2,000 homes during their investigation and on Tuesday – a week since Shannon went missing – they spoke to 1,500 motorists in the Dewsbury Moor area. They also used large electronic boards to appeal for information. They say they are continuing to work closely with Shannon's family, friends and school.

| Oxy, I have found out more about poor Shannon from this forum than I have seen or heard reported any where else. It is a sorry state of affairs when, if the fact she is missing is reported at all, it is either a small article in a newspaper or an afterthought on the TV news. Well done for collating the information. |
